Frank Thompson
age 84, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. He was born Jan. 31, 1929 in High Coal, W.Va. to the late James and Garnet Pearl (Adkins) Thompson. Frank attended WV Tech College and Glenville State Teachers College. He taught school and retired from Montgomery Ward. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He attended the Peace United Methodist Church in Louisville.
Frank is survived by his wife, Lois (Highland) Thompson; his daughter, Donna (Chad) Hoskins; three grandchildren, Jeremy Hoskins, Jennifer (Justin) Sanders, Michael (Ellie) Hoskins; three great-grandchildren, Korbin Hoskins, Jaiden and Joelle Sanders; many nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Diana Breedlove and Patricia Jarrell. He loved his great-great-niece, Jenna Steenrod and his special little friends, Alexis and Gia Depasquale. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, William C. Harvey and twin brothers, Jesse and Carl Thompson.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Pastor Nancy Conley officiating. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m.-12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
