Joanne Elizabeth (Jolliff) Royce
75, of Jackson Twp. died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. Joanne was born in Canton on Dec. 8, 1937, to the late Earl and Pauline Jolliff. She was a 1956 graduate of Jackson High School. She attended college at Purdue University and earned her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics in 1960. After marrying her husband Theodore, she worked at Stouffer's Foods.
As a homemaker, raising three children, she was an active member of McDonaldsville United Methodist Church and Chechahco Garden Club. Her interests included selling Christmas trees. gardening, sewing, camping and being outdoors. She devoted much of her time to her animals, including her dogs. cats and chickens. Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Scott and husband Theodore (divorced). Joanne is survived by her children, Tom, Susan and Michael; grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Keana, Megan and Kyllie; and brother, Charles. Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, 11 a.m., at McDonaldsville St. Paul United Methodist Church, 7641 Wales Ave. NW, North Canton, Rev. Erwin Urschitz officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling Hours SUNDAY 2 to 4 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93), Canal Fulton and Monday, ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the church.
