80 of the Atwood area passed away on June 23, 2014. Paul was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 21, 1934 to the late Paul and Garnet Triplett. He served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict and was an Iron Worker for Union Local #550 for 43 years retiring in 1994. Paul was a member of the Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, McKinley Masonic Lodge #431 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Valley of Canton, Tadmor Shrine Temple, Nazar Grotto, New Philadelphia Elks Lodge, American Legion #44 and Atwood Yacht Club. He also played Santa Claus for many years and was a clown for the Nazar Grotto. Preceded in death by his sister Mary Ryan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Gladys (nee Day) Triplett; brother, Stephen (Diana) Triplett of Westerville; sister Martha (Robert) Sellers of Westerville; brother-in-law John (Rose) Day of Canton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday June 27, 2014 at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating. Family and friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday June 26, 2014 at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his church or the Tadmor Shrine Temple.
