CPT Randall 'Randy' Stevan Siber, DDS, USN, Ret., 63, of Columbia, was taken home to his Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Born in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Ronald and Sadie Albert Siber. Randy received an undergraduate degree from Kent State University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University. He served as a dentist in the US Navy, retiring with the rank of Captain. Randy was a man of prayer, who put his faith first, family second, and loved serving others. His daughters and grandchildren held a special place in Randy's heart. He was very proud to be part of the staff at WJB Dorn VA Medical Center and a member of The First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Corse Siber; daughters, Courtney (Michael) Schnee, Hilary Siber and Maia Siber; grandchildren, Noah, Gus, Anina and Luca Schnee; sisters, Sara (Don) Armen, Christine (Darrell) Domer, Paula Pastore; and brother, Mark (Corinne) Siber. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.
The funeral service for Dr. Siber will be held 11:30 o'clock, Thursday, May 8th, in Smith Chapel of The First Presbyterian Church, 1422 Washington St, Columbia, with The Rev. L. Craig Wilkes and The Rev. David H. Lauten officiating. The family will receive friends in the Atrium of Jackson Hall following the service. A private interment will take place at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missions of The First Presbyterian Church, 1324 Marion St, Columbia, SC 29201.
