'Together Again'
Robert A. Williams
age 87 of Canton. Our Maker decided it was time for Bob to join his wife, Eileen, and all his heavenly friends and relatives, Oh what a reunion! Bob was born in Dover, Ohio to the late Alfred and Mildred (Adams) Williams. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and Kent State and University of Akron. An Army veteran of World War II he served in the South Pacific and Japan. Bob dedicated his entire life to education having served at Perrysville, Beach City, Canton South, Lehman, Lincoln and Glenwood High Schools, Milligan College and Stark State College. He took pride in leading Adult Learning Workshops at Penn State and the University of South Carolina. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church, William McKinley Lodge #431 F&AM, AASR Valley of Canton, Phi Delta Kappa, and Tom Knapp Golf League. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Eileen Williams in 2002; a grandson, Bradley Williams; and a brother, Donald Williams.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Cindra) Luoma of Geneva, Ohio; son, Keith (Linda) Williams of Canton; eight grandchildren, Todd (Kelly), Kevin, Nathan, Mark, Adrienne (Jim), Christopher (Christine), Emily (David) and Patrick (Jill); great-grandchildren, Lydia, Trenton, Maura, Mason and Lucas; sister, Nancy (Louis) Haren of Canton, and his beloved golden retriever, ' Lady.'
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Kevin K. Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Masonic Service will be Sunday 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 4110 38th St. N.W., Canton, OH 44718.
