His co workers at the hospital wrote this about Steve: "a very gentle and caring person, he was loved by everyone that ever met him.  He was a remarkable doctor who touched many lives.  His leadership, compassion and dedication to his family, his patients and his co workers is what made him such a beloved man.  May he continue with healing hands as he watches over all of us from heaven"
His wife, said "she had found her soulmate, they truly were meant for each other."
Kirk Ray, CEO of  Northside said this after a  moment of silence, "He had been our faithful servant since 1990, working at Southside, Northside, Beeghley and Trumbull.  In that time span, he had seen close to 100,000 patients, enough to fill a big college football stadium! Strong, hardworking, good mid-western values, not a complainer."
