'Together Again'
William E. Reichard
age 86, of North Canton, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, in The Inn at Whitewood Village. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Arthur and Alice (Keim) Reichard, and was a life resident of this area. Bill retired from the Hoover Co. in 1990, after 31 years service, where he was foreman of outside facilities, including Hoover Park, Lodge, and Farm. He was a member of VFW Post #7490 in Louisville, and Canton American Legion Post #44. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going with family and friends. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Opal N. (McKinney) Reichard, on May 7, 2008, and a son, William 'Billy' Reichard. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rebecca Parsons, of Dublin, Ohio, Barbara and James Repace, and Lisa and Brad Arnold, all of North Canton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, Kelly and Ryan Moffitt and their son, Brennen, Matthew Parsons, Jimmy Repace, Nathan, Kyle, Alivia, and Bradley Arnold; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Mary Reichard, of East Canton.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet- Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Joseph Zamary officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the or the donor's favorite charity. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of The Inn at Whitewood Village and Crossroads Hospice for the love and care they gave to Bill.
