BEDNARIK, ALBERT PAUL - August 16, 1934 November 29, 2013 Albert Paul Bednarik, 79, died on November 29 of cancer at his home in Gambrills, Maryland. He was born on August 16, 1934, to the late Charles K. and Hilda A. (Radtke) Bednarik. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Byrns Bednarik, (4 children) Patty (Melvin) Hardisty, Sherrie (Gosheff) Garner, Paul Jr. (Julie) and Gary (Lisa) Bednarik. He is also survived by (10 grandchildren) Tami (Todd), Vicki (Kellee), Jeannie (Clif), Mike (Laura), Shannon (Dustin), Michelle (Mat), Kelly, Tommy, Sarah, and Alex; (5 great grandchildren) Carter, Bailey, Kolby, Eden, and Max; (brother and sisters) Irene Mullins, Charles Bednarik, Russell Bednarik, Ann Johnson, and the late Richard Bednarik; (sisters-in-law) Margie (Pessagno) Bednarik and Christine (Byrns) Sanford; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and fishing buddies. He worked for 25 years at Capitol Electric and in 1980 he started HARA Electrical Contractors. He retired in 2001, leaving the business to his children. He enjoyed family parties with his children and grandchildren; fishing and crabbing with Melissa, his family and friends; traveling extensively and visiting his second home in Florida. He was always inventive with fixing things (MacGyver)! Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD today Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00am. Interment, Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 or St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
