Aloysius Donoghue Obituary

Aloysius "Al" J. Donoghue, 83, a resident of Crofton, died April 4 surrounded by family. Born January 5, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Alexander and Margaret Donoghue, Mr. Donoghue was a veteran of the Korean War and was employed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for over 30 years. His hobbies included shooting pool, listening to country music, and he was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Mildred Donoghue of Crofton; three children, Nick Sampogna of Annandale, VA, Rosemary Clutz of Severna Park and Dede Fowler of Millersville; brother, John Donoghue; his twin sister, Mary Hines; five granddaughters, Nikki Pope, Kelly Corin, Kari Paraschak, Nina Hessey and Anne Sampogna; and seven great-granddaughters. Family and Friends may visit from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday and from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Monday, at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A Catholic prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Monday. Interment Private. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com
