Barbara Sewell

Barbara E. Sewell, 75, a 4-year resident of Odenton and previously of Edgewater and Cape St. Claire, died December 28 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake's Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood. Born September 21, 1938 in Pennsylvania, Barbara was a hairdresser and worked at Raymond's Hairstylist in Annapolis before opening her own business, J&B Salon. She was a member of the South County Senior Center and enjoyed bike riding, painting, walking and traveling. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Ray Sewell who died in 1980, and three sisters, Virginia, Constance and Boots. She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Sewell of Crownsville and brother, William Danovich of Goose Creek, SC. Friends are invited to Barbara's Life Celebration from 4:30 p.m. until her memorial service begins at 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Annapolis, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
