Carol Coleman

Carol Ann Coleman, 69, of Odenton, died peacefully May 23 surrounded by her children at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center, Hospice of the Chesapeake in Harwood. Born on November 25, 1943 in Oneonta, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Charlotte Johnston, and granddaughter of John and Mary Mattice of West Edmeston, New York. She lived for many years in Glen Burnie working as the Cafeteria Manager at Rippling Woods Elementary School before moving to Odenton in retirement. She will be remembered as warm and loving with an infectious laugh to all who knew her. Married for 37 years, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger A. Coleman Sr. She was also predeceased by her sister, Frances Sherwood, from New Berlin, NY. She is survived by her children, Roger A. Coleman Jr. (wife Heather) of Stewartstown, PA., Heather King (husband Steve) of Yorktown, VA, and Tracy Wilson (husband Bill) of Odenton. Carol's grandchildren include, Trevor, Hunter, and Courtney King; Carly and Blake Wilson; and Abby and Jenna Crosby. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Zamelis (husband Doug), niece Ariadne, and nephew, Nick; and brother, John Johnston of Upstate New York, nieces, Kim and Carol, and nephews, Kevin, Sean and Brian; nephew, Tim Sherwood, and nieces, Pam Rowe and Renee Casey. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy, Bowie (20715). A funeral service will be held, with a short viewing at 12:30 p.m. followed by the service at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, May 29, at the same location.
