Catherine Smith Obituary

Catherine "Kay" Smith died March 2. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Smitty" Smith. She is survived by her son, Tracy (Mary) Smith of Annapolis; two daughters, Christine Smith of Odenton and Rosemary (James) Carey of Canton, GA.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 8 at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m., Saturday, March 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor, 601 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21228 or Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401. I only got to take care of Ms Kay for about a month but she brought joy to our hearts and smiles to our face. She was a very bright woman. I will keep your family in my prayers and thoughts as we have a beautiful new angel watching over you
