Dorothy Kutz, 91, of Seaford, DE, died January16 at Heart Homes in Annapolis. Born in Newport Township, PA in May of 1922, she served on active duty with the Navy Nurse Corps during WWII. After leaving the Navy Reserve in 1954, she married Narcy Kutz and worked at South Baltimore General Hospital until 1960. She lived in Arnold and Pasadena, for over 20 years They shared a passion for building homes, traveling in their Airstream and the West. She is a charter member of the "Women in Military Service for America" and a two time Breast Cancer survivor. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Nancy of Annapolis, and Gerry. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, at the Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24, at the St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway Annapolis. A Navy Veteran's Ceremony and Interment will be at 1 p.m. in the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Women's Memorial Foundation Dept. 560, Washington, DC 20041-0560, or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
