NOVACK, EDGAR, of Centreville and formerly of Severna Park and Brooklyn Park, a loving family man, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, passed away peacefully on April 1 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. His integrity and industry reflected his ethics; he loved his God, family and country. Born on March 4, 1934 at Fort Meade, MD to the late Edgar and Sophie Novack of Locust Point, Baltimore,Edgar was a 1952 graduate of Baltimore City College. After graduating he earned a degree in Business from the University of Baltimore and began a life long career with Amoco Oil Company. Edgar served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle, Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Centreville, MD. He was active with the Centreville American Legion Jeff Davis Post 18. Mr. Novack was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Verna Jeanne and his daughter, Monica Lynn Fowler. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Novack, Teresa (David) Ashburn, Jeanmarie (Steven Katz) Richardson; son in law, Michael Fowler; grandchildren, Rachel Fowler, Zachary and Zoe Ashburn. Friends are invited to Edgar's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Thursday, April 4 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Catholic Mass and interment will be held at a later date. The family is grateful for the wonderful care received at Brightview Assisted Living and Anne Arundel Medical Center.
