Edward Casey

Edward John Casey "Ed", 52, a resident of Crofton for the past 20 years and previously of Annapolis, died November 23 at his residence in Crofton. Born January 27, 1961 in New York, Ed graduated from Severna Park High School and earned a BA in Sociology from UMBC. He worked in the Purchasing Dept. for Anne Arundel County. Prior to that, he worked for the Dept. of Aging where he managed the Arnold and Annapolis Senior Centers. He was a member of First Baptist Churchof Crofton. He was a Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and Star Trek fan. He enjoyed spending time with his pets. Ed was preceded in death by his father, the late Edward D. Casey (former editor of The Capital). Ed is survived by his son, Ethan R. Casey of Gambrills; daughter, Stephanie Casey of Crofton; mother, Jackie Casey of Bowling Green, OH; two brothers, Dan Casey of Roanoke, VA and John Casey of Carmichael, CA; and sister, Jeanne Titus of Bowling Green, OH. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, November 29, at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 30 at the First Baptist Church of Crofton, 1690 Crofton Parkway, in Crofton.
