Frederick Hodge Jr.

Frederick M. Hodge Jr. died August 19 in Crofton. He was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts on March 22, 1934 to Frederick M. and Persis Canfield Hodge. He graduated from Harvard in 1955, and then served in the U.S. Air Force, including posts in Honolulu and Manila. Frederick lived in Windsor, CT for many years and had a lengthy career at The Aetna Insurance Company. He enjoyed classical music and books, especially history and biography, as well as model trains. He spent summers in Unity, ME and enjoyed power boating and tree care. In 2009, he moved to Annapolis and then to Crofton. He enjoyed visiting family in Maryland. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Hodge Thouin of Crofton; as well as three nephews and their families, Paul Thouin and Abigail, with sons, Abraham and John, all of Eldersburg, James Thouin and Tanis, with sons, Parker and Ryder, all of Tucson, AZ, and Mark Thouin and Audra, with daughter, Anna, and son, Matthew, all of Allen, TX.
