STUM, GERALD "MAC" of Severn, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical
Center in Glen Burnie, MD, at the age of 64. Mac was born on March 20, 1948 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Alphonsus M. Stum and Kathryn (Gray) Stum.

He graduated from Shepherdstown High School in Shepherdstown, WV in 1966 and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mac dedicated 40 years to the Department of Defense, Fort Meade MD and was an Elder at Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton, MD. Mac enjoyed camping, traveling the country, photography, gardening and reading, but what he loved most was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Mac is survived by his adoring wife of 44 years, Mary W. Stum; three children, Anthony M. Stum and Kimberly, Kathryn J. Malenfant and Aden, Andrew W. Stum and Carolyn Jaron; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ashley, Courtney, Coleson and Julia; one great-grandson, Ethan; two sisters, Sandra Blackford of Gerrardstown, WV and Brenda Morrison of Martinsburg, WV and two brothers, Michael Stum of Port Republic, MD and Robert Stum of San Francisco, CA.

The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church, 8424 Piney Orchard Parkway, Odenton, MD 21113 on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, 2938 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430 on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 3:00 p.m.
