PEARL, GUY L., 91, graduated this life on August 13, 2013 in East Ridge, Tennessee. He was born in Washington, DC on November 27, 1921. He was a World War II veteran, having fought in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. The decorations he received were the Purple Heart Medal, Silver Star Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon. He was the second engineman hired by Woodland Beach Fire Department on April 20, 1948, and was a lifelong member of that Engine Company. He also worked at Wilmer's Communications. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Pearl; his daughters, Christine Angell and Charlene Pearl; as well as his second wife, Joan Pearl. He is survived by his four sons, Guy Pearl of Cleveland, TN, Charles and Floyd (Tim) Pearl of Harwood, and Raymond Pearl of Mayo; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, at Chesapeake Christian Fellowship Church, 377 West Central Ave., Davidsonville.
