James F. Hagner, 88, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, died on August 12, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Hagner was born on May 22, 1926 in Baltimore, MD to the late Elmer and Rose Hagner. Mr. Hagner served in the US Army during WWII at the Philippine Theater where he received a Purple Heart. He was a mechanic for Nevamar retiring in the late 1970's. In addition to his parents Mr. Hagner is preceded in death by his brothers Elmer and Edward Hagner and his sisters Rose Rickert and Lavenia Sill. He is survived by his daughter Karen Doggendorf of Pasadena, his devoted companion Lelia "Kitty " McCraw of Pasadena, his grandchildren William Doggendorf of Pasadena and Kristie Babicky of Pasadena, and his great grandchildren Chase Doggendorf, Braylon, Avery, and Kiley Babicky. Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
