BRITTINGHAM II, JOHN R. "JACK," of Bowie, MD and Lewes Beach, DE, died Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was a dedicated husband, father and friend. Jack is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of over 60 years, Theresa Lynch; Daughter, Eileen Stephenson (Wally); Son, John R. Brittingham III (Micki) of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren; Kelly and Sean Stephenson of Crofton, MD; Sister, May Sheppard (Bill) of Bethany Beach, DE; cousin, James Brittingham of Lewes, DE; and a host of friends.

Jack was born and raised in New York, where he entered into the Coast Guard and served in the Korean War. After he was honorably discharged, Jack attended Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and graduated with his Master's of Business Administration. Jack retired from the Veteran's Administration in Washington, DC. He was also an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary since 2003, and continued to pursue his passion for the water, including his love of boating and fishing.
