MCGEE, JOHN "JACK" J., 85, of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Sugarloaf, PA, died Sunday May 11, 2014 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD. Born October 29, 1928 in West Hazelton, PA, son of Daniel and Bridget McGee. John was a graduate of West Hazelton High School Class of 1946, a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Engine Propulsion Specialist at the Federal Aviation Agency in Washington, DC until his retirement in 1985 to his hometown in Pennsylvania. There he thoroughly enjoyed retirement, pursuing his hobbies, Family Genealogy, Irish History, tending to his apple orchard and searching, learning and analyzing everything around him. His children and grandchildren were the highlight of his life and the time he spent with them was precious. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brothers Bernard, Daniel, Edward and Thomas McGee; his sister Dolores DiSilverio and his beloved son Kevin Dominic McGee. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Luchi McGee; children Mary Beth McGee (Edgewater, MD), John James (Estelita) McGee (Beltsville, MD), Donald McGee (Shoreline, WA), Philip (Kathleen) McGee (Baltimore, MD), Larry (Joy) McGee (Fulton, MD) and Heather Mundie (Edgewater, MD). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren; Samantha, Jared and Mitchell Mundie; Danielle, Kevin and Sean McGee; Rory Cahill and Niall McGee. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 16 beginning at 10 am, at the Holy Family Church, 826 West Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD.
