John Kline Teel "Jack", 91, a resident of Annapolis since 1999, died December 19 at his home. Jack was born November 15, 1922 in Pennington, NJ, where he lived with his parents, his maternal grandmother, brother, William "Bill" and sister "Tib." He graduated from Central High School and Pennington Prep, and received a degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University. He was married to Norma Louise (Bolig) for 65 years as of October 2013. They lived in Pennsylvania and California before moving to Maryland. He retired from ARCO. Jack attained the rank of Colonel, U.S. Army Reserves and served 35 years. He graduated from the Army War College and the Command and General Staff College. Jack was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Annapolis; a Mason; a member of American Legion Post 44, Northumberland, PA; and member of Elks Lodge No. 622, Annapolis. He also volunteered for the American Red Cross blood drives. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, C. Earl Teel and Mary Titus Teel and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Morrison; sister, Elizabeth "Tib" Plenge; grandson, Peter Morrison; nephew, David Earl Teel; great-niece, Laura Teel; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins from his wife's family.
