Johnny Battle Sr.
Johnny James Battle Sr., 89, of Odenton, died September 17 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
He was born October 20, 1922 in Fort Myers, Florida. Johnny retired SFC U.S.
Army with over 29 years of decorated service during WWII, Korea and Vietman. He was a Life Member of the DAV; other memberships included the American Legion and TREA. He especially enjoyed family gatherings.
Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Battle Jr; and his daughter, Judy Ann Battle.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Battle; sons, Warren Tyrone Battle and Craig Prescott Battle; daughter, Beryl Yvette Solomon; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service on Friday, September 21, at the Cavalry Chapel, 8465 Simonds Road and 6th Armored Cavalry, Fort Meade.
