WEINSTEIN, KAY (KORNMAN ), passed away on March 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Howard, her brother Gary Kornman, her brother-in-law Stuart Weinstein, her nieces and nephews Grant and Valerie Kornman, Michael and Martha Kornman, Jill and Frank De marco and Sally and Rick Berber and their families, including her grand-nieces Claire, Kate, Natalie, Delilah, Emily, Madeline and her grand-nephew Alex. Kay was a vibrant member of the community in Annapolis and loved by generations of students and teachers at Annapolis Middle School and East port Elementary where she was a speech pathologist for 36 years. Kay was a founding member of Stepping Out for Breast Cancer and participated in numerous local initiatives. Kay was active in the National Council of Jewish Women. She was also a lifelong animal lover and former board member of the Anne Arundel County SPCA. Kay was adored by her friends in Maryland and Florida and will be remembered for her fun-loving nature and zest for life. No one could have more fun than Kay and her seemingly limitless energy was the envy of all of her friends. Kay was a foodie, loved restaurants and was a voracious collector of cookbooks. She also enjoyed boating in Annapolis and gardening and being on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she and Howard have many good friends. Most of all, Kay loved spending time with her family and friends. Kay will be laid to rest in Nashville, TN on Sunday, March 9th at 1:00 pm in the Temple Cemetery alongside her parents and a memorial service will held in Annapolis at Congregation Kneseth Israel on Thursday March, 13 at 1:00 pm.
