Laurie Harmon

HARMON, LAURIE ANN, of Crofton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at her residence. Laurie was born on March 27, 1959 in Washington, D.C. and was the daughter of Almerin and Sally (Osterfeld) Plusch. Laurie served her community as a nurse for twenty two years at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Laurie was an avid sports fan, especially for the Washington Redskins, the Washington Nationals and the Washington Capitals. She loved music, but her greatest joy was being a grandmother to four loving grandchildren. Laurie is survived by two daughters Shayne E. Gifford and husband Tommy of Crofton, MD and Jordan Lee Harmon and fiance Mark of Crofton, MD; one sister Catherine L. Hall of Kansas; two brothers Allen J. Plusch of Delaware and William R. Plusch of Virginia; four grandchildren Taylor, Jason, Thomas and Lilli and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, MD 21113 where a funeral service will begin at 7:00pm. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
