Mary Tripp

Mary "Mimi" Elba Tripp, 50, a life-long resident of Odenton, died May 10 at BWMC of pneumonia. She was born June 13, 1962 in Baltimore to the late Calvin A. and Mildred E. Burton. A graduate of Arundel High School, she was an insurance claims adjuster. In addition, she was involved in childbirth education, and infant massage. Mary enjoyed sewing, and was a member of Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church, and the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda L. Scaggs; and brother, Joseph E. Burton. Married March 18, 1987, she is survived by her husband, William Tripp; and her sons, Matthew Tripp and Joshua Tripp, both of Odenton. Other survivors include her brother, Charlie Burton of Edgewater; and sister, Wanda Burton of Odenton. A visitation was held on Monday, May 13 at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills, where a funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14. Interment private.
