HENDERSHOT, MAYNARD L., passed away on January 6, 2013,at his residence in Odenton. Mr. Hendershot was born on September 24, 1938 in Big Cove Tannery, PA. He retired as Captain from the Patuxent Institute, and afterward working as a Police Officer at the Department of Defense. Maynard was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose, and enjoyed cooking. He loved spending time with his grand kids and great grand kids. Mr. Hendershot was preceded in death by his wife Janet Hendershot. He is survived by his sons; Michael Hendershot and his wife Sam, Greg Hendershot, and Joe Hendershot. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Stacey Besley, Victoria Shiro, and Willow, Joey, and Sara Hendershot, his great grandchildren; Maddison, Colton, and Caleb Besley, and Damien and Lilith Shiro, his brothers; Charles and Bob Hendershot, and his sisters; Alice DeLair and Shirley Pearson. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue S.W. (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, on Thursday and Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
