Patricia Strickenburg

Patricia Speerstra Strickenburg, 79, of Gambrills and formerly of Plantation, Florida, died July 26 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, after a brief illness. She was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1933 and attended Cranberry High School in Seneca, PA. Pat was an accountant at the Tropical Radio and Telegraph Corporation in Lauderhill, FL for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis. She enjoyed helping others and volunteered for various organizations over the years including: The Auxiliary at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, Meals on Wheels, and the Mothers of Pre-schoolers Busy Bee Nursery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Strickenburg, and two sisters, Shirley Jean Fuqua of Live Oak, FL and Marjorie Virginia Wessel of Seneca, PA. Pat is survived by her son, Mark R. Strickenburg of Gambrills, one sister, Beatrice Mae Rembold of Seneca, PA; four grandchildren, Paula Jarrett Nasta of Davie, FL, Stacie Jarrett Wheatly of Plano, TX, Sarah S. Horwath of Kigali Africa, and Andrew M. Strickenburg of Westminster, CO. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, at the Annapolis Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 710 Ridgley Ave, Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat's name to the Auxiliary at the Anne Arundel Medical Center, Meals on Wheels or Mothers of Pre-schoolers.
