Raymond F. Resta, 84 a resident of Pasadena, died February 27 at his residence. Born on May 11, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to the late Lawrence and Lena Resta, Mr. Resta graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1947 and then continued on to the University of Maryland graduating in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He received his Masters of Chemical Engineering from John Hopkins University in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Resta worked for several companies during his career as a chemical engineer including Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell Bulle, and Dale Electronics of Norfolk Nebraska. His work involved the Apollo 13, the Hovercraft, and Americas Super Sonic Transport. He retired in 1987. In addition to his parents, Mr. Resta is preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Lois Resta. He is survived by his brother, Daniel Resta, sister, Silvia Resta, and nephew Daniel Resta, all of Glen Dale AZ; two step-sons, Peter Dolan of Fl. Lauderdale FL and Michael Dolan and his wife Deborah of Pasadena; step daughter, Lynn Dolan of Phoenix AZ; five grandchildren, Michael Dolan of Bethesda, Christina Fraser of Pasadena, Ashley Iglehart of Shrewsberry PA, Corinne Dolan of Pasadena, and Amy Dolan of Pasadena; and three great-grandchildren, Felix Dolan of Bethesda, Grace E. Fraser of Pasadena and Richard V. Iglehart of Shrewsberry, PA.
