Thomas Jennings Carper III, 66, of Glen Burnie, died peacefully April 20. He was born in Baltimore April 7, 1948. Tom served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Navy as a Boatswain Mate Second Class. Following the war, he worked at Westinghouse, and then followed in his mother's footsteps in opening his own barbershop. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn; his three children, Tommy, Brian and Kristy; brothers, Wayne and Sonny; eight grandchildren, and one arriving shortly. Private service for close friends and family will be held at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, in Crownsville.
