Thomas L. Linkins, of Deale, died February 17. Thomas was an active member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, VFW, American Legion, and CCC Corporation. He enjoyed reading westerns, John Wayne movies, Orioles, Redskins, and entertaining with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton R. Linkins and Pauline Linkins (nee Krueter); and one grandchild. Mr. Linkins is survived by his wife, Hanora B. Linkins (nee Bloom) of Deale; daughters, Margaret K. Klykendall of Alaska, Mary E. Brown of the Eastern Shore, Cecil Ann Gibson of California, and Gina M. Carpenter of Columbia; brother, George P. Linkins of Florida; sister, Mary Linkins of Annapolis; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, at the family-owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home. Service to be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater. Interment to be held at a later date.
