Tyrone Scott Sr., 63, of Annapolis, died July 5. Born February 11, 1951 in Washington, D.C., Tyrone graduated from Baltimore City College High School and attended Morgan State College for two years. He served as an officer on the Baltimore City police force from 1972-1977. Tyrone joined the Marine Corps in 1977. During his 11-year career in the corps, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Tyrone enjoyed being a leader, mentor, and big brother to his troops. Tyrone is survived by his wife of 41 years, Doretha; seven children, Teresa, Angelique, Grace, Alicia, LaToya, Tyrone II and Christa; siblings, Donald, Della, and Judy; mother-in-law, Virginia; brother-in-law Lee; ten grandchildren; neice, Sharrisse; and many more relatives and friends. Viewing is from 2 to 4 p.m. , Sunday July 13 at Wm. Reese & Sons in Annapolis. Wake is 11 a.m., then funeral at 11:30 a.m., Monday July 14 at the New Journey Church of God, Edgewater.
