Ronald Kozura, 77, of Bowie, died suddenly on Thursday, March 28, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, after a brief illness. Ronald was born January 1, 1936 to Stephen and Elizabeth Ruth (Troutman) Kozura in Pottsville, PA and was an only child. Ronald graduated from Minersville Area High School in Minersville, PA in 1953. He then went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1959 with a degree in Business. In 1954 he met his future wife, Virginia Wood, with whom he would eventually marry in 1957. The young couple moved to Levittown, PA in 1957 where Ronald took his first job with the Federal Government at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. In 1966 the young couple moved to Bowie, where Ronald continued his career with the Federal Government. He was first employed at the Federal Reserve Board and eventually moved on to the General Accounting Office where he worked as a Systems Analyst until his retirement in 1993. Ronald was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Ruth (Troutman) Kozura, and his father, Stephen Kozura. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia; along with four sons, Donald Kozura of Bowie, James Kozura of Bowie, Mark and Nancy (Gertz) Kozura of Hagerstown, and Steven and Sissel (Thoresen) Kozura of Crofton; two grandchildren, Erik and Adrian Kozura of Crofton; and two step-grandchildren, Christopher and Dorothy Gertz of Hagerstown. A memorial service will be held at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie on Friday, April 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. Interment private.
