LECOMPTE, DONALD G., of Severna Park, passed peacefully on March 31, 2013. Born October 7, 1926 to Lillian and Leonard LeCompte, he grew up on the Magothy River with his 3 brothers Edward, Walter and Gordon, all of whom have predeceased him. Immediately upon graduating from Annapolis High School he entered the Navy where he proudly served his country for 2 years. After returning to the area he attended the University of Maryland Pharmaceutical School. As a young man Donald joined Calvary Methodist Church where he met the love of his life, his wife of 49 years Claire E. Brady, who predeceased him in 1998. After moving to Severna Park they attended Pasadena Methodist Church. He had a great dedication to his church and community (especially Severna Park High School band) and, together with Claire, worked endless hours volunteering for the American Cancer Society. He is survived by their daughters Donna C. LeCompte-Christhilf and her husband, Tony Christhilf of Annapolis, Lauree J. Kenyon of Indianapolis, 7 Grandchildren and 13 great children. Upon retiring after 30 years of management with the C&P Telephone Company, he continued working in support of both of his daughters' businesses. He enjoyed his bible study groups and his prized garden which he generously shared. He was an avid tennis player and could often be seen on any local tennis court or walking his beloved dog through the Cape Arthur community. Donald lived every day of his life doing everything he could to help his family and friends; always in pursuit of making people laugh, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had an abiding faith, which in his later years he nurtured at Asbury United Methodist Church in Arnold, where we will be celebrating his life with a service on Saturday, April 20th at 2:00pm. Memorial donations can be made to the American cancer Society. To leave condolences visit
