Anna Louise Bertha, 87, a longtime resident of Arnold, died April 2 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Anna was born in Baltimore on May 15, 1925 and raised in Locust Point. She later married Stephen Bertha and moved to the home they built in Arnold. Anna was employed in the soap plant at Proctor and Gamble in Baltimore. Anna was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park. In her earlier years she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Bertha; daughter, Catherine McCahill; and brother, John McDonald. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Laura Bowdring of Alexandria, VA and Aimee McClellan of St. Agatha, ME; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Colin Bowdring of Alexandria, VA; son-in-law, Joseph McCahill of Arnold; and grandson-in-law, Bill Bowdring of Alexandria, VA. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy.
