One of my first "heros" of the Carroll County emergency services as a young teen, Clarence became a mentor and role model when I joined those services at 16. He would later become a co-worker, neighbor, and friend. His helpful, giving spirit will never be forgotten.

Clarence was a great man, always there to help and always ready to support events at the Gamber fire house. He was a charter member of Gamber, and responded eagerly to help his neighbors when the alarm was sounded. I am sure that he will be missed.
