Elizabeth "Louise" Stonesifer, 73, of Westminster, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born Dec. 20, 1940, in Jones Creek, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Asher Black and Albert W. Black Sr. She was the wife of William Harry Stonesifer, who she married Nov. 20, 1959.
She was a production manager for The Arc Carroll County.
She was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church. She was very active member of the Deer Park Lions Club, where she received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow award. She was a member of the Westminster Women of the Moose
Chapter 897. She was a homemaker who enjoyed dancing, traveling, cooking, camping with family and friends and staying at her home on the Eastern Shore.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters and sons-in-law Deborah L. and Christopher Rausch, of Littlestown, Pa., and Donna L. and Chris Messinger, of Hanover, Pa.; siblings Ruth Mullen and Joan Brock, of Syracuse, N.Y., and Albert Black Jr., of Mount Holly Springs, Pa.; grandchildren Bryan Rausch and wife Robin and Amy Rausch, both of Hagerstown, and Josh Messinger, of Hanover, Pa.
She was predeceased by sisters Norma Stephan and Trudy Hartzel.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mindy Coates officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
