Paul LeRoy Ensor, 95, of Upperco, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Sunflower Hill Assisted Living in Westminster.
Born May 7, 1918, in Sparks, he was the son of the late Alexander and Hester Mays Ensor. He was the husband of Eva Ruth Almony Ensor, who died in 1987.
He served as a police officer
with the Baltimore County Police Department for 23 years, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, mowing his lawn and watching "Price Is Right."
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Paula and James Aberts, of Upperco; a granddaughter, Jacki Aberts, of Hampstead; a brother, John Ensor, of Jarrettsville; and sisters Dot Miller, of the Eastern Shore, and Ruth Weaver, of Parkton.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary McCann; and brothers Clyde, Raymond, Charles, Daniel and Abram Ensor.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Art Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Black Rock Cemetery in Butler.
