Edward Scott Brown MT. PLEASANT - Edward Scott Brown, CFP, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12th in Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Heather L. Brown, and his son, Houston Brown. Scott was a Vice President and Financial Consultant at Charles Schwab brokerage service in Mount Pleasant. He attended Baylor High School in Chattanooga, TN, and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and received his BA in Philosophy. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy Corps and served on the USS CARR from 1991-1994 where he earned a Navy Achievement Medal for leadership of humanitarian relief efforts in the African country of Eritrea. In his spare time, Scott was passionate about tennis, and spent many hours on the courts here in the Lowcountry. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
