Ellen Carter Kreiling PHOENIX, AZ - Ellen Carter Kreiling, born October 9 1938, daughter of Ralph Carter and Regina Kaufer in Bronx, New York. She died August 23, 2014 peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Kreiling's civilian career was primarily in the field of Corporate Tax, employed by Texaco, Inc. for many years. In 1982 she enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving at the Eaton's Neck, NY Coast Guard Station as Flotilla Commander and actively engaging in Patrols, Membership, Training, Operations, Qualification Examinations and Communications. Upon relocating to Charleston, South Carolina, she served two terms as Flotilla Commander. She is predeceased by her parents and brother, Bruce Carter. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert; two sons, Mark and William; one daughter, Dorian; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E Indian School Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85251 on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 2 PM.
