Jody was one fine individual, always had a joke to tell and with him was the ever present cup of coffee in which I would tease him by asking " wheres my donuts?". It was a pleasure to work with him in the 38th and he was one if the finest NCO's that I ever ran across.

Jody gave a lot to everyone he knew, and the damnable thing about him passing so young is that there is no doubt he had a lot left to give. I loved making him laugh, loved working beside him, loved his spirit. Bye, Jody.

Me and Jody always joke we are like the kids we teach.
He always had a story.
He always had a smile.
He never had an angry word...maybe once.
He always was willing to help anyone out. He even tried to give a man on the side of the rode a ride. It was pouring rain and Jody pulled over. The man wouldn't get in so he walked up and confronted him and yelled "hey buddy I'll give you a ride." It was then Jody realized it was a poster of a fisherman in rain gear for a nearby restaurant. That's Jody........the world has lost a good soul. God Bless his family.

Our hearts broke when we read of the passing of this true hero. Our daughter Jennifer was blessed to have him as a teacher for two years in middle school; he made a profoundly positive difference in her life and in her progress. We loved Jody and felt very blessed that our child benefitted from his gifted teaching. I know that his passing leaves empty holes in lots of hearts and lives, but you can rest assured that he left a legacy behind that you can be very proud of in all of the lives he touched. We will always remember him with great fondness and as our "angel" in shining armor. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I went to school with Jody from 8th through the 11th grade at Charleston High School. He was a gentle giant then and seems his gentleness transpired into the passions of his life. We never got to meet up again as adults to my regret as I've met others. I know he will be missed and my sympathy to his wife, children, family and friends.

This morning I woke up to the terrible news that my dear friend and colleague has passed away. I have known Jody from 1st day in 38th APS until now. Thats 22 years now. As a young airman Jody was a consummate professional. He lived his life with zeal!! He enjoyed working in the school system, the 38th APS, at bright light beamed from his eyes when he spoke of his family. Jody not only was a professional in the military but help many people out and he did it with enthusiasm! He will be sorely missed! To the family, may God comfort you in this very difficult time.
