Richard "Glen" Campbell SUMMERVILLE - Richard "Glen" Campbell, 47, of Summerville, husband of Marie Cecille (Pascual) Campbell, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Medical University of SC. Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Campbell's funeral service this morning at 11 o'clock, at Palmetto Land Baptist Church, 114 Tomaka Drive, Summerville. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Palmetto Land Baptist Church, "Kitchen Fund", 114 Tomaka Drive, Summerville, SC 29483. Glen was born on August 13, 1966 in Charleston, SC, son of Bonnie (Lane) Thomas of Goose Creek and the late Jessie Campbell. He graduated from Southern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor's degree. Glen served in the United States Army for seven years and was a 20 year veteran in Law Enforcement. He loved to hunt and fish with his boys. Glen worked for the Charleston County Sherriff's Department as a Bomb Technician Sergeant. He was a member of Palmetto Land Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife Marie are: two sons: Richard Glen Campbell, Jr. and David Marcel Campbell; sister: Lisa Campbell Ward (Terry) of Clarksville, TN; stepmom: Dorothy Campbell Smith (Leo) of Pamplico, SC; stepsisters: Dawn Melosh of Dallas, TX and Deitra Hyles (Lynn) of Thurston, OH; stepbrothers: Peter Thomas of Chicago, IL, Sam Thomas of Henderson, Nevada and Timothy Thomas of Plano, TX; Father in law and Mother in law: Marcelino Pascual and Cecilia Pascual of North Charleston; sister in law: Grace Pascual Bogtong (Rick) of North Charleston; nieces and nephews: TJ & Jessy Ward of Clarksville, TN, Michael Hyles of Thurston OH, Lorali Thomas of Plano, TX, Madison, Michael & Alyssa Bogtong of North Charleston; aunts and uncles: Lou Vause (Ted), Helena Floyd, Ann Matthews (James) and Charles Campbell (Louise) all of Florence, SC; cousin: Michael Sammons (Judy Martin-Mallonee) and second cousin, Brandon Sammons of Ladson, SC; Lt. Col. William Waters (Chris) of North Charleston who was like a father to Glen and Catherine Waters Colbourne (Gene) of Evans, GA who was like a sister to him. He was predeceased by his uncle, Tommy Campbell, grandparents, Cleo & Myrtle Campbell and aunt, Margie Lane.
