Ronald Lee Bain RIDGEVILLE, SC - MSG (Ret) Ronald Lee Bain, 78, of Ridgeville, husband of Mary Flury Bain passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Trident Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home from 2 to 5 o'clock followed by a service from 7 to 9 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Special Forces Association, Attn: Scholarship Fund, PO Box 41436, Fayetteville, NC 28309-1436 or Palmetto House, PO Box 200338, Charleston, SC 29413. MSG (Ret) Bain was born January 1, 1935 in St. Petersburg, FL, son of the late Peter Bain and Lillian LeDuc Bain. He was a highly decorated twenty eight year veteran of the US Army Special Forces. He was married to the love of his life, Mary, for forty two years. He obtained an Associate's degree from Trident Technical College along with several technical degrees. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Mary, six daughters and two sons; Debbie Reaves of Orlando, FL, Michael A. Bain (Marie) of Hendersonville, NC, Lori Perry (Dave) of Americas, GA, William C. Simpson (Marlene) of Ridgeville, Susan Fago (Carl) of Seneca, Mary Jane Bain and Leah A. Bain both of Ridgeville and Margaret Carlile (Joseph) of Summerville, sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
