William Shepanek N. CHARLESTON - William "Bill" Anthony Shepanek, 65, of North Charleston passed away May 6, 2013. Born in Evanston, IL, he was the son of the late Edwin Anthony and Constance Barnes Shepanek. Bill was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in combat. He retired in 2011 from an inbound logistics career as a purchasing manager with Santee Cooper. He is survived by his daughter Stacy Shepanek and husband Roger Sczypta, son Joseph Shepanek, and wife Amy Gordon, and grandson Sawyer Shepanek all of North Charleston, sisters Sandy McGuiness of Williams Bay, WI, and Susie A. R. Shepanek of Madison, WI. A graveside memorial service will be held at Beaufort National Cematary, Friday, May 10 at Noon. The family will be accepting friends at the home of Amy and Joseph Shepanek from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, May 9th, 2013.
