Dr. Albert Slepyan, 101, of Highland Park, passed away April 30, 2012. WWII Veteran, Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois Medical School and active member in the Rotary Club of Highland Park for over 60 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy and the late Mary Jane; loving father of Barbara (Stanley) Zax and David (Judi) Slepyan; cherished grandfather of Andrew Zax (Lisa Jane Persky), Lauren (George) Rose, Holly (Richard) Shuter, Dorothy (Richard) Furberg, Jocie Slepyan, Katherine (Marc) Harrington and Henley Slepyan; adored great-grandfather of Jake and Matthew Rose, Tyler and Zachary Shuter and Theodor and Ansel Furberg; loving stepfather and step-grandfather of Ralph and Eddie Wanger and their families. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
