Bruce Kaiser Obituary
Bruce T. Kaiser, of Evanston, Illinois, passed away, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Evanston Hospital. Bruce was born February 24, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to Erma and Henry Kaiser. He served in World War II from December 1942 to December 1945. He graduated from Indiana University and began his lifelong career in student affairs. He served as the Student Union Director at Indiana State University, Illinois State University and retired from the position of Student Union Director at Northwestern University. Bruce was active in a number of professional organizations and served as President of the Association of College Unions from 1977-1978. He had a lifelong passion for the arts, music and theatre. An avid supporter of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, he held season tickets for 20 years. Bruce is survived by his daughter, Megan Apple of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and son Christopher Kaiser, of Elgin, Illinois, two grandchildren, Samantha Macke and Alexandria Allen, four great grandchildren, Fiona, Myles, Cooper and Parker. A special thank you to the Hospice Team at Evanston Memorial Hospital for the care they provided. A special Memorial service will be planned for later in the fall.
