1919 - 2013 Obituary Condolences Flowers
Charles Crawford Brooks, passed away on September 18, 2013, born in Asheville, NC on Nov. 3, 1919. His training at Hampton Institute led him achieve the rank of Airman First Class during World War II. He was very active in Saint Marks United Methodist Church and was named Man of the Year on several occasions. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Syndonia Mae and four of his five brothers; William P. Jr., James E., Reuben and his youngest brother Horace W. He leaves to cherish his memory, brother Booker T.; nephews Christopher C. and Peter C.; nieces Crystal and Lynn; many loving friends and relatives. Visitation Sept. 27th at A.A. Rayner & Sons Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday funeral service will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 8441 S. St. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60619 with 10 a.m. Wake, and 11 a.m. funeral. Following interment at Sunset Memorial Lawn, Northbrook, IL.
