Casimer Stanley Apolinski Obituary
Casimer "Casey" Stanley Apolinski, age 90, of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, Nov 4, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Apolinski (nee Klimek). Loving father of John (Linda) Apolinski and Elizabeth Lee; siblings, Virginia (late Elvin) Krumsee, Edmund (Dorothy) Apolinski, Irene (William) Warner, the late Stanley (Regina) Apolinski, Teddy Apolinski and Mary Olson; grandchildren Tai (Jeff) Thew, Jeremy Apolinski; great-grandchildren, Koa and Gauge Thew. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews. Born Mar 3, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, Casey enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. Flying 60 missions with the 394th bombardment group, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross for combat, a Presidential Citation and many commendations. Retired as a Lt Colonel from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of distinguished service. He was active and outspoken throughout his professional and personal life. Service was held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Holualoa, Hawaii. Burial with Military Honors at Kona Memorial Park.
