James Blazina Obituary
James T. Blazina, 73, of Oak Lawn, passed away on November 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Blazina, and his older brother Navy Cdr. Joseph Blazina and sister Mary Anne Santay. He is survived by his sister-in-law Carolyn, and nieces- Christine Dickson (Gary), Mary Therese Krug (Paul), Sister Mary Teresa (Sue), and nephews- Michael Santay(Cindy), John Santay(Mary), Bishop Joseph Santay, Greg Santay (Cheri), Tom Santay (Amanda) and Stephen Santay, and will be sadly missed by his twenty-four grand nieces and nephews. James was a 1963 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and always looked forward to watching the games to cheer on his beloved Irish! He enjoyed teaching chess to his nephews and took pride in never letting any of them win. Contributions in his memory to the University of Notre Dame in lieu of flowers. Family and friends will gather Saturday, November 30th at the Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park from 9:00 am until time of Requiem Mass 10:30 am.
