Mr. O'Halloran had struggled recently with assorted medical issues. Mr. O'Halloran was born in 1938 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the son of James E. O'Halloran and Georgiana Ross O'Halloran. In 2000, Mr. O'Halloran retired from the active practice of law and moved to Onekama, Michigan, where his lake house was the focus of many family get-togethers and visits from old friends. Never known to stand on ceremony, Mr. O'Halloran skipped his first week of law school to go on a honeymoon with his beloved wife, Verlyn ("Lyn") O'Halloran (nee Simmons) of Kenilworth, Illinois. Mr. O'Halloran and Lyn were happily married for fifty years, having celebrated their 50th anniversary this past September with their children and grandchildren.
